Key Facts
Tolmachevo as Siberia's Transit Hub
The largest hub beyond the Urals. Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo airport is the biggest hub east of the Urals. Routes from Moscow and Saint Petersburg to the east pass through here: Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Yakutsk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk. The reverse flow runs from the Far East westward. Plus international flights to Central Asia, China, and Turkey.
Long layovers. Layovers at Tolmachevo are a common reality for domestic travelers in Russia. Connections can be short (1-2 hours, no time to rest) or long (3-8 hours, when you really want to lie down and sleep). GettSleep capsule hotel in Terminal C exists precisely for the latter.
3-4 Hour Layover — Is a Capsule Worth It
The waiting area without a hotel. Three to four hours between flights isn't much, but it's enough to rest properly. The typical scene without a hotel: you sit in the waiting area, drink coffee, scroll your phone, try to get comfortable in a chair. By the time your next flight comes, you feel worse than before you landed.
The GettSleep alternative:
- Landed, collected your luggage — 20-30 minutes.
- Checked into the capsule — book online, no queue, 5 minutes.
- Rest for 2-2.5 hours — lie down, nap, charge your phone.
- Freshen up — wash up, change clothes.
- Head to the gate — refreshed and rested, 30-40 minutes before boarding.
From 2,800 ₽ for 4 hours. The minimum booking is 4 hours from 2,800 rubles. Even if you only use 2-3 hours, it's still cheaper and more comfortable than any alternative. A rest room with a proper mattress and soundproofing beats a departure lounge chair every time.
5-8 Hour Layover — Sleep or Head Into the City
A full night's sleep. A long layover is a real opportunity to sleep. Five to eight hours between flights happens often: a morning flight from the Far East, an evening one to Moscow. Or the reverse: arriving from Moscow in the afternoon, departing for Krasnoyarsk late at night.
A trip to the city. The option of heading into town: a taxi to central Novosibirsk costs from 800 rubles, 30-40 minutes. Walk around for an hour or two, taxi back — another 800-1,500 rubles. In total, you've spent 2-3 hours traveling, 2,000-3,000 rubles, and haven't rested at all.
A capsule instead of the city. The GettSleep option: take a capsule for 4-5 hours, sleep or simply relax in quiet. Afterwards — coffee at a terminal cafe, a calm boarding. Cost — from 2,800 rubles, time saved — at least 2 hours.
Comfort format (3 m²) — a capsule with a nightstand and mirror. More space for your belongings, the feel of a mini-room. Price — from 3,400 rubles for 4 hours.
Domestic Flights: How It Works
West ↔ East. Most transit passengers through Tolmachevo are on domestic flights. Novosibirsk connects western and eastern Russia: Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Sochi to the west; Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Yakutsk, Vladivostok to the east.
No need to go outside. When transferring between domestic flights, you collect your luggage, enter the common area of Terminal C, and can check into GettSleep right away. The hotel is located inside the building — no need to step outside. After resting, proceed to check-in for your next flight.
Horizontal rest. A rest room at the airport lets you turn a tiring layover into proper rest. Instead of wandering around the terminal for 5 hours, you spend 3-4 of them lying on an orthopedic mattress.
International Connections
Central Asia, China, Turkey. Tolmachevo serves international flights to Central Asia (Tashkent, Bishkek, Almaty), China, and Turkey. If you're flying via Novosibirsk on an international route, the situation depends on whether you need to pass through passport control.
Transfer through the common area. When connecting between domestic and international flights (or vice versa), you pass through the terminal's common area. GettSleep capsule hotel is accessible from this area — you can rest between clearing control and boarding your next flight.
Allow extra time for control. Factor in time for passport control and security screening: add an extra 30-40 minutes for international formalities when calculating your capsule time.
What to Bring to the Capsule
GettSleep already has everything you need for transit rest:
- Bed linens and a blanket — in every capsule.
- Earplugs — free at the front desk (the capsules muffle airport sounds, but useful for light sleepers).
- Extra blanket — available upon request at the front desk.
- USB charging — in every capsule.
Just a cable and clothes. You only need to bring a change of clothes — we'll provide a charging cable at the front desk if needed. Everything else is included.

- Choose your format — Solo from 2,800 rubles or Comfort from 3,400 rubles for 4 hours.
- Pay online — by card, instant confirmation.
